The French cyclist, Samuel Dumoulin recently achieved first place on the third stage of the Tour de France. Dumoulin barely got past the American William Frischkorn at the last minute, completing the total 208 kilometer trek that went from Saint-Malo to Nantes, in only five hours, five minutes and 27 seconds.
The third in place, Romain Feillu also ended the race in the same time, and managed to beat Spaniard Alejandro Valverde, the winner of the first stage.
So far, odds go as follows: in first place as favorite, Cadel Evans, with 2-1. Cadel in last year’s Tour de France ended as a runner up, and, as last year’s champion Alberto Contador is absent, Evans is the new favorite for this year. In second place, Alejandro Valverde with 3-1, who ended up in sixth place last year. Next is Denis Menchov with 15-2 who won the Tour de España, Damiano Cunego with 12-1 and Andy Schleck also with 12-1.
The overall leading country is Spain in first place, Luxembourg in second and Italy in third place. There are still quite a few stages to go, so make sure to keep yourself informed and tune into the races yet to come. The sooner you begin betting, the better the chances of winning!
